Methods of Navigation
So now we know WHAT to navigate to (URL addresses). What are the methods that we can use to navigate with a Web Browser? There are several ways, some of which you have already used: (1) You can click on links and buttons, as you have already done in several examples. See the preceding section on browser basics to review this method. (2) You can enter the URL address directly into the browser. In Netscape, you can enter it into the "Location" window on the browser:
(3) You can enter the URL address into the window that appears if you select "Open" from the pulldown "File" menu:
(4) You can use the "Go" or "Bookmarks" pulldown menus to select URL addresses previously visited. There are a few other ways to navigate too, but these are sufficient for most purposes.
