  1. National Center for Missing and Exploited Children [www.missingkids.org] - The NCMEC raises public awareness about ways to prevent child abduction, molestation, and sexual exploitation. It's "Child Safety on the Information Highway" brochure is a great resource for parents and teachers, it can be found at www.safekids.com/child_safety.htm.
  2. A Parent's Guide to the Internet [www.familyguidebook.com/aboutbooksubindex.html] - Parry Aftab's book on how to protect your kids in cyberspace.
  3. Safeguarding the Wired Schoolhouse [www.safewiredschools.org/] - This is a project of the Consortium for School Networking, a non-profit association that promotes the use of telecommunications to improve K-12 learning. Its members include state departments of education, state networks, school districts, schools, individuals and companies that are committed to this goal. The site includes articles, power point presentations, and other tools for administrators and teachers.
