The Communicator Menu

The "Communicator" pulldown menu has the entries shown in the following figure for the Macintosh version of Netscape 4.7.

Navigator: Opens a new browser window with your home page loaded.

Messenger: Opens Netscape email composition window.

Composer: Opens Netscape Composer (with a blank page) to graphically create a new web page.

Newsgroups: Opens newsgroup reader.

Tools: Opens submenus for: (1) History (list of sites you've visitied in this browser session, (2) Security Info (about the current page), (3) Message Center, (4) Netscape Import (import mail messages), (5) Java Console (shows messages generated by the Java interpreter that is used to display Java applets and Javascript).

Cycle Windows: Cycles between any open Netscape windows (includes browser and composer windows, also email and newsreader windows).
